Jack & Jill

My name is Sun H. Crutchfield. I have been at Jack & Jill Preschool for 4 years. This Tots class will be my fourth. Most of the older Jack & Jill kids still remember my class. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with your children. We are going to have fun learning many new things.

My name is Virginia Smith and I am 21 years old. I've worked in early childcare education since I was 16 years old, and I believe that early education for children is important for their development. I love to read books, sing and dance, and do crafts with my kids. My goal is to prepare my children for the early steps in life.

I am a sophomore psychology student from Amarillo, Texas.  I currently am a young life leader at Bryan High School, where I hang out with high school students and share the gospel.  I am very passionate about Youth Development and cultivating creativity into our Youth’s lifestyle.  I plan to graduate from Texas A&M University and pursue a career in Youth Development, high school counseling or marketing.  I am very passionate about spreading the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ.

Our Teachers

My name is Jamie Mitchell and I have been at Jack & Jill Preschool for 2 years and I love it! I was born and raised in Bryan/College Station. I have no children of my own but I have an          18- year-old nephew and a 14-year-old cousin who feel very much like my own.  I have variety of interests that include reading, listening to music, and writing. My goal this year is to introduce the concepts of letter, numbers, colors and shapes! I will also teach bible lessons which include songs and prayers! What I love about children is being able to view the wonders of this world through their eyes!

Our K-2 classroom is what we call our "transition" classroom.  Our K-2 students are involved in transitioning from sippy cups to regular cups, learning to feed themselves with eating utensils, and move into the wonderful world of "potty training".

K-2 students use the A Beka Book curriculum to begin their academic journey with an introductory year of color, shape, and number concepts.

Our K-2 teachers are CPR/First Aid certified and attend annual trainings to keep up with the most recent information on early childhood education.  Our K-2 teachers bring an atmosphere of excitement and energy to our K-2 classrooms.

K-2 students are encouraged to learn through their natural need to explore and imagine.
